they are spiritually evolving, developing healthy habits, deepening their studies, building communities, and making tangible impacts on society.
We begin by recognizing life as a dream, shaped by our mindset, beliefs, and perceptions. Together, we'll navigate through the veil of self-limiting thoughts, unrealized fantasies, and commodified practices, moving towards holistic Yoga and intentional living. We’ll discuss important topics of cultural appropriation, colonialism, and capitalism - and their impacts on transnational Yoga. This foundational step supports you to remember your true nature and guides you toward Yoga's spiritual roots, turning every step into a conscious choice on the path towards enlightenment.
Yoga isn’t just something you do; it is how you live your life. Here, we’ll develop a personalized practice on and off the mat, based on your disposition, obstacles, and strengths. Asana (posture), pranayama, nervous system regulation, conscious communication, yoga philosophy, history, and other foundational topics will be covered in group classes. We not only teach, but provide you with practical tools to navigate through stress, anxiety, and fear, ensuring a regulated nervous system and fostering a deeper spiritual connection.
A natural effect of Yoga is a generous heart of service. As you dive deeper into your yoga journey, you’ll experience a heightened sense of empathy and compassion, not just towards yourself but also towards others. This naturally blossoms into a desire to serve and give, embodying the yogic principle of "Seva" or selfless service. Here, we navigate through the realms of Karma Yoga (Yoga of action), engaging in volunteer work and embracing social justice, all while practicing the profound ethics of the Yoga traditions.
Conscious leadership becomes a healing path for both the leader and the community. We navigate the emotional and spiritual dimensions of leading with empathy, understanding, and profound connection. Refine your communication skills, and establish healthy boundaries, all while navigating through the nuances of mediation and conflict resolution. We explore heart-centered leadership, ensuring your steps are infused with collective wisdom, compassion, and strength, embodying the essence and spirit of a united, enlightened community.

Modern Yoga is often portrayed as fitness with the goals of a leaner, more flexible body. However, asana (physical yoga) is only an aspect of this complex science of liberation. “Yoga off the mat” acknowledges the vast and profound traditions of Yoga, which have ancient roots in early human civilizations. We also believe that Yoga is the study of how we live our lives, the actions we take, the words we speak, and the ways we impact others. At Yoga Mārga School, we practice bringing the light of awareness to the forefront of each moment.
Yoga Path Mastery is completely online on our digital community platform and Zoom, where we record all of our live sessions. We also regularly host in-person retreats; our last one was called Mystic Metamorphosis in Escondido, CA.
We ask our students to dedicate 8-10 hours a week for this transformative process. This equates to approximately 1.5-2 hours a day.
Yes! We offer select full and partial scholarships. We encourage low-income, immigrant, refugee, BIPOC, gender fluid, and LGBTQ+ friends to join us.
